VAV(Oncogene Vav) family of proteins act as GEFs (Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factors) and activators of Rho family GTPases, and are known to orchestrate cytoskeletal changes and cell migration in response to extracellular stimuli by catalyzing the exchange of GDP for GTP.
