Probiotic Skin Renewal Technology

Description

Probiotic Derived Molecules (PDMs) are non-living cell compounds isolated from the live bacteria (lactobacillus bifudas) that have been extracted through a filtration process.

PDMs can mimic pathogens without mimicking the pathological characteristics. PDMs penetrate the inter-cellular lipid matrix of the skin and can move into the dermis. Just like the bad bacteria, PDMs are detected by the toll-like receptors, a group of glycoproteins located in cellular membranes, including keratinocytes, Langerhan cells and fibroblasts.

The mechanism of action is similar to how the dermal immune system deals with pathogens but without the inflammatory response.
